We are pleased to share the IDSN Annual Report for 2024–25, which outlines key activities and developments across our core thematic areas: Dalit women and gender justice, business and human rights, and equality and participation.
The highlights of the report include:
- OECD side-event co-organised by Arisa and IDSN addressed caste in garment and footwear supply chains
- Dalit women called for global action on caste at IDSN’s UN Human Rights Council #LetsTalkAboutCaste side-event
- IDSN delegation participated and gave statements at the UN Forum on Minority Issues to foster action
- IDSN spoke at a session at the UN Forum on Business and Human Rights and a delegation took part in the Forum
- UN OHCHR workshop in Bangkok shedding light on barriers to justice for Dalits in South Asia co-organised by IDSN
- Recommendations on caste were made by UN UPR and Treaty Bodies following IDSN statements and submissions
- The European Parliament adopted reports on EU-India relations and human rights calling for action on caste discrimination
- Caste was included in the new EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD)
- Dalit human rights defenders participated in EU human rights event in Brussels and trained EU diplomats on caste
