The Global Call for Action to End Caste Discrimination is an outcome of the International Consultation on Good Practices and Strategies to Eliminate Caste Based Discrimination held in Nepal (29 Nov – 1 Dec 2011). In the Global Call, the following recommendations were made to the governments of African states:
African states, we call for the official recognition of caste-based and analogous forms of discrimination and the implementation without delay of measures for its elimination.
