Universal Periodic Review of the UK

UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAN - 13th session - 24 May 2012:

The UK Government will be reviewed for the second time by the UPR Working Group at the 13th session on 24 May 2012.

The Dalit Solidarity Network UK and IDSN have prepared a joint submission on caste-based discrimination in the UK, and submitted it to the OHCHR in advance of the session.

DSN-UK and IDSN have prepared a briefing note with key questions and recommendations related to this review:

The full report contains information about discrimination against Dalits in the UK, and recommendations on action to be taken by the Government to prevent and eliminate this form of discrimination effectively.
