Global Call Recommendations to End Caste Discrimination in United Kingdom

The Global Call for Action to End Caste Discrimination is an outcome of the International Consultation on Good Practices and Strategies to Eliminate Caste Based Discrimination held in Nepal (29 Nov – 1 Dec 2011). In the Global Call, the following recommendations were made to the government of the United Kingdom:

United Kingdom, we call for the adoption of Clause 9 (5)(a) to allow for the amendment to outlaw caste-based discrimination as part of the UK Equality Act (2010).
